It's Finally OVER!!!!!!

Thank the good Lord that the election is finally over! I really can't stand all the political crap that has been going on for two years now. I am not overly pleased with the way things turned out, but I am extremely happy that it is over. Now when Obama does not do what he has said he will do, I will get to laugh at everyone who voted for him. I know that ALL POLITICIANS lie, and that it is not just Obama or McCain, but what drives me absolutely crazy is just how little the average person understands about the way our government works. There are three branches of government that have to work together to make things happen, so it is not all George Bush's fault. And by the way....Obama was supposed to be part of that Government Of Change two years ago, and things have only gotten worse. So now we get to sit back and wait to see what REALLY happens. For the record, I hope that Obama proves me wrong and that he actually does some good things for this country.

My Love of the Game!

Okay, can I just tell you that I love the game of baseball. I have since the fall of 1986 when we moved from Jacksonville FL to Southbridge MA and was introduced to the game. In case you haven't figured it out, my love for the game was born in Fenway Park, and I am a diehard Red Sox fan. My only problem is that I live in Tampa FL now and have for nine years. I still love my Red Sox first and foremost, but I love this game enough to support my home town team the DEVIL RAYS (they will always be the Devil Rays to me)! As long as the Devil Rays aren't playing the Red Sox, i root for them to win, which was really weird when I wanted the Red Sox to be in first, but I wanted the Devil Rays to beat the Yankees. I was still very excited to see the Devil Rays in the World Series.

I said all that to say this, Bud Selig is a MORON, the umpires were ridiculous, and I am really sorry to say it, but Joe Maddon cost us the last game. Selig was petrified that the weather would get so bad they would have to call the game with the D Rays losing, I seriously don't believe that they had made any plans to play all nine innings no matter what. The announcers would have known that, and they obviously had no clue. Throughout this whole series, the umpiring was absolutely ridiculous. Many of these guys have absolutely no business umpiring little league games let alone the World Series. The only saving grace was that I honestly can't say it benefited one team over the other. Joe Maddon truly deserves AL Manager of the year, but can anyone tell me what he was thinking last night? Why wouldn't you just start Price instead of Balfour? As good as he is, Balfour has struggled a bit this post season, and the Phillies had no clue about Price. I also don't understand the decision to pinch hit for Baldelli. The other decision that I don't get from the ALCS and the World Series is why you leave Eric Hinske off the roster. He has done some great things for this team this year much like he did for the BOSTON RED SOX last year. No other player on the Devil Rays has more experience playing in Fenway or more World Series experience than Hinske, so why not have him on your roster? He proved the other night what he can do when he is in the game. There are days when I wish we could have had a bigger role for him on the Red Sox. Oh well, I guess there is always next year, because the Devil Rays will be good for a while.

That is what I had to say for today. It truly feels good to vent!

First Time Blogging

So why create a blog? I gues like most people I have something I feel like I want to say, and no one listens to me, so why not type it here and see if anyone ever finds it. I am sure that no one will ever see this, but at least I can say what I want and feel better about it, or at least get it off my chest so I can forget about it. If you have found this and are curious, keep checking back and see if you find something interesting.
